About Send My Letter Online

Why I built this

I appreciate well built, purposeful software. A nice user interface, functionality that works intuitively, and code that is performant and scalable. It's not always easy to find software like that. I wanted to build something similar to what I appreciate and Send My Letter Online seemed like the perfect opportunity. A small and specific niche that I can put time and effort into building something purposeful. It might not be a huge money-maker, but I'm having fun building something I'm proud of.

I looked around and there are other services out there, but they're not what I wanted. A no account, simple, intuitive, and functional application to mail a letter online. So I built something that does what I think sending a letter online should do. I spent time on the little details to bring you this app. And I'm not done! There is still a lot to build like typing a letter instead of uploading a PDF.

Who's behind it

Send My Letter Online is operated by Big Sky Code, LLC. Right now it's a one-man show of me, Jon Carl. I live in Missoula, Montana where I love spending time in Big Sky Country. During the day I'm a software engineer helping with the infrastructure of a SaaS company. But that's only part of who I am.
